Learning Resources Space Rover Deluxe Coding Activity Set

Powered by simple, push-button coding, the Space Rover Deluxe Coding Activity Set is an ideal teaching resource for children ages 4 plus. Teachers can use this set in any KS1 classroom to help children learn the fundamentals of programming through fun play-based activities. Kids use the tiles to build a maze and code their Space Rover to move through it, navigating STEM challenges along the way. Schools can also extend the learning by adding single Space Rover units, sold separately.
  • Children use the tile pieces, bridge, space rocks and coding cards to design maze challenges, and plan out how they’re going to program their Lunar Rover to complete the STEM challenges.
  • Kids work the Space Rover by pressing the 4 directional arrow buttons on the roof to set up a sequence of up to 100 steps. The arrow buttons are colour-coded to the set’s included coding cards.
  • There are no devices or internet connections needed to set up and use this interactive space robot for ages 4+.
  • Developed with Early Years and KS1 teachers in mind, the Space Rover Deluxe Coding Activity Set is easy to incorporate into lesson planning, and single units (sold separately) are also available to extend the learning.
  • Includes a space coding rover, astronaut figure, 16 maze tiles, 3 bridge tiles, 1 obstacle tile, 3 archways, flag with stand, 1 magnetic space rock, 3 obstacle rocks, and 20 coding cards (51 pieces). Rover requires 3 AAA batteries, not included.
